Michigan State Board of Professional Engineers (P.E.’s)

The Michigan Board of Professional Engineers was created under Article 20 of Public Act 299 of 1980, as amended, to license and regulate the practice of professional engineering in Michigan.

The licensing of engineers is important because of the significant role engineering plays in society, affecting every human being in terms of safe buildings and roads, clean water, functional machinery, communication, and medicine. The profession is regulated by licensing boards—composed of P.E.'s and members of the public—in each U.S. state and territory. The licensing boards set high standards for professional engineers, and these high standards help protect the public health, safety, and welfare. As a result, engineers must be licensed to offer their services to the public.

Institute of Management Consultants (IMC)

CMC (Certified Management Consultant) is a certification mark awarded by the Institute of Management Consultants USA and represents evidence of the highest standards of consulting and adherence to the ethical canons of the profession. Less than one percent of all consultants have achieved this level of performance.

The IMC USA awards the profession's internationally-recognized certification, the CMC (Certified Management Consultant), an acknowledgement of extensive experience, peer reviews, client audits, and adherence to the IMC USA Code of Ethics.
